igToolkit Error when using Blend 4
posted

Hi there guys.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post. I have been trying to open the MainMenuView.xaml file inside Blend 4. This is a part of the SamplesBrowser application.

The error message I receive relates to :  xmlns:igToolkit="clr-namespace:Infragistics.Silverlight.Toolkit.Controls;assembly=Infragistics.Silverlight.Toolkit" when used in code: <igToolkit:MultiColumnItemsControlNavigateAction NavigationAction="Next" />

The message tells me that the Type 'MultiColumnItemsControlNavigateAction' from assembly 'Infragistics.SIlverlight.Toolkit' is built with an older version of the Blend SDK, and is not supported in a Silverlight 4 project.

How should I resolve this?

I had sent a message to support seeking the souce code download for the assembly mentioned as I couldn't find it with the rest of the Silverlight source (which I have a license for)

Many thanks

Steve

    Hello Steve,

I have been looking into your issue and can understand how this could be confusing. This assembly file has been specifically created for the SampleBrowser’s needs and should not be used outside it. Inside are mostly simple elements, effects and behaviors which are used throughout the different samples. Nevertheless I had tested starting the 2010 volume 2 SampleBrowser’s source through Expression Blend without encountering any issues.

Please let me know if you require any further clarification on the matter.
