Would you consider releasing *.extmap.xml files to reside alongside of your .dll assemblies? This would allow minimal configuration (one checkbox!) in Visual Studio to enable caching the Infragistics NetAdvantage SL assemblies.
For more on assembly caching in SL, see this post: http://timheuer.com/blog/archive/2009/07/13/silverlight-3-cached-assembly-feature.aspx.
Currently, I'm making them by hand and/or using a tool (http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/alex_golesh/archive/2009/07/16/small-utility-extmap-maker.aspx) to do it for me. Just a feature request - a nice to have.
Thanks!
Excellent request. We'll see if we can get these in the next release. In the mean time, I created extmap files for all of our LOB and DV assemblies for our 10.2 release. They are attached to this post.
Let me know if you have any problems with them.
