Set AllowPaging=True and hide the WebGrid pager area

I want to activate paging, but use my own custom vcr controls to navigate the grid.  These buttons appear on a toolbar above the grid and so, activating the Grid's pager just consumes extra space and I want to hide it.  There is no visible property and it seems setting PagerStyle.Height = 0px does not work either.
