Hi,
I have a very annoying problem with drag and drop changing column width in the web grid and it works in IE but not in Firefox.
I have a grid inside a table with fixed width 900px and I have AllowColSizingDefault="free" to allow users drag and drop changing column width. If my firefox browser is wider than the table size, it works fine. The problem happens when my browser is narrower than the table and the horizontal scroll bar in browser appears. If I horizontally scroll using the scroll bar in firefox to right a bit, I cannot drag the column border anymore. When I scroll to left most, it works again.
It can be a big problem in our app since users may have small monitor thus smaller browser and they can not change width of columns in the right of grid. Please help!
Hello.
I just tried a sample grid of mine that has enough columns to cause the grid to draw a horizontal scrollbar. The grids width is 1060 pixels and I am using Net Advantage 2007 volume 2 build 61. When I ran the application using Firefox 1.5, I could not resize any of the columns, even if I hid some of them to reduce the width so a horizontal scrollbar was not drawn. After updating to Firefox version 2.0.0.6, the problem disappeared. What version of Net Advantage are you using and what version of Firefox are you running?
Thanks for your response.
I am using Firefox 2.0.0.12.
The problem was not with horizontal scroll bar in the grid, but the scroll bar in the browser. You could reduce the side of your browser window so the scroll bar in browser apears. Do not scroll with scroll bar in grid but use the scroll bar in Browser to scroll it to right and you may see the problem.
