This is a great control, but we are looking to use it for more complex layouts.
We are thinking along the lines of portals, e.g. iGoogle when the tiles can have variable heights or possibly span multiple columns.
I am able to shrink the height within a tile but the other tiles do not shift upwards. Also I am not able to make a tile taller than the default space allocated to it based on the row count / height.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Unfortunately in this version of the control its not possible to have different tiles have varying heights or widths, or to span columns or rows, but those are definitely scenarios we are thinking about for a future version of the control.
You can see some of our thinking by checking our the Healthcare CRM application that we recently released to CodePlex: http://healthcare.codeplex.com/
This specific application is written in WPF, but it can give you an idea of some of the window/tiling behavior that we are exploring.

That control looks like it is working great. When can we expect to see it in Silverlight?
