Using the designer: I have a dataset with 3 tables. If I set grid datasource to a dataset, the grid appears to set the band(0) BaseTableName to the first table that was added to the dataset. If I then manually change the BaseTableName of band(0), after clicking APPLY, the BaseTableName reverts to the original setting. If I set AutoGenerate to false, the same thing happens. If I set DataSource to nothing and manually create bands via the designer, the same thing happens but the BaseTableName is set to empty. The grid has a ViewType of Hierarchal. The only solution that I have at this stage is to recreate the definition adding table in the correct hierarchal order. In this case I am lucky enough to be able to do this.
