I've got a problem. One of the datagrids a website which I am developing, doesn't show any rows >ever< when viewed under the new Google Chrome browser that was released earlier today.
Has anyone else noticed any inconsistences with the Infragistics controls and Google Chrome?
I've published two screenshots on my review of Google Chrome here: http://blog.evolvedsoftwarestudios.com/2008/09/02/web-browser-wars-room-for-one-more-google-launch-google-chrome/ (scroll right down to the last two images in the article).

Vince fails to point out the LIMITED capabilities of the WebDataGrid - which very VERY inferior to the original. I have been told by Taz that the WebGrid will be expanded to include Safari and additional browsers. Or maybe the WebDataGrid will be expanded to include additional functionality (my guess is this is more likely).

gotoroi,
As listed on the Supported Environments page of our website, WebGrid is currently not supported with Safari.
I recommend using WebDataGrid instead (released in 2008 Volume 3), since our ASP.NET AJAX controls are supported with Safari.
What version of Infragistic UltraWebGrid is supported on Safari 3.0? I see multiple issues when using 2008 V2.

Thanks for checking it out. Yeah Opera does not have a large market share, unless if you have some silly clients that would like to use it ... but they can get over it.

Thanks for the response... yes there are several reasons why the Aikido version is inferior to the original version. Here is a snapshot of the reasons:
See my previous post in this thread from Nov. 25, 2008 for more.... So unfortunately the Aikido version is lacking as well - oh and the fact that there would be a rework on 100% of the code ... that is not a workable solution.
Hi Dhaggard,Chad,
We were not able to get to this item for 2009 Volume 1 release, as our feature requests for other controls/feature remained very high. We did some testing and in order to support WebGrid in AJAX mode over WebKit we will have to do a significant amount of dev effort, and to keep the features that we were able to ship in 9.1, we had to pull this one out.
However, trying to wrap the grid inside of an UpdatePanel and let that take care of converting it into an AJAX call back for the grid while the WebGrid be rendered as non-ajax, the results were quite different.
So, I would recommend you to try putting the WebGrid in an UpdatePanel to support AJAX if that is the issue that you are running into. However, that is still not a supported environment either for the WebGrid, but you should be able to see the data. I am sure you must have noticed by now already that we were able to get our ASP.NET AJAX controls built on top of the Aikido framewrok support in both Safari and Chrome. Althought the WebDataGrid is not as feature rich at the moment as the WebGrid, but if that suits the need that you are looking for and you have an immediate need to support Chrome & Safari, then that would be the way to go. If there is a feature missing in the WebDataGrid because of which you can't convert, please feel free to shoot me an email : murtazaa@infragistics.com
Thanks again for your inputs.
