i have hierarchical xamgrid. The parent items load first but I want to load the children items when the parent expansion button is clicked and not on load.
please help.

I’ve researched your question about lazy loading of the child items in the xamGrid. Unfortunately, there is no built-in functionality to achieve this requirement.
The expansion indicator will not appear if there are no already loaded child items so you can’t rely on its events (expanding/collapsing) to load data. Eventually, you can handle RowSelectorClicked event to add child data dynamically but this may cause some side effects. You should specify child data type in advance also as well as its columns.
I have attached a sample application to demonstrate this but have in mind that it may not be the desired approach – child data is loaded on RowSelectorClicked event and the expansion indicator appears afterwards.
