Today I opened up Indigo and it just sits at the initial loading screen. There's nothing out of the ordinary in my log file. Any assistance with this would be very helpful. Thank you!

Basics is I had ver 1.0 at some point I must have updated ver1.0 ... then updated to Mac OS X Maverics 10.9 ..... then discovered my 2013 favourite program did not work.
It seems to be a problem with silverlight .. now sure when in the process I upgraded to ver 5 ... but deleting all the *.ni.dll files in the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Silverlight.plugin/Contents/MacOS/CoreCLR.bundle/Contents/MacOS/i386
and I am back up and running ver 1(updated) and ver 2 working
By the by - checking the silverlight installation from the microsoft silverlight home page ... said everything was fine .. also doing a re-install of silverlight made no difference. Seems those .ni.dll files are a pest.
Hope this helps if you haven't already sorted it.
Uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight seemed to of did the trick for me. Apparently something in the latest update of silverlight botched Indigo. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Dayle!
Just tried uninstalling and re-installing silverlight 5.0 and no luck. I am unable to get Indigo Studio 2 to stop spinning at the start screen.
Hi!
We had a number of reports with this behavior on Mac, regrettably we weren't yet able to pinpoint the issue.
People seems to be able to work around it in different ways:
1. Reinstalling SL (which I know, didn't work on your case).
2. Delete the .ni files on the Silverlight installation folder (usually located at /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Silverlight.plugin/Contents/MacOS/CoreCLR.bundle/Contents/MacOS/i386). The .ni files are pre-compiled files created by the Silverlight installed and are not necessary to run Indigo Studio.
3. Moving the Indigo Studio folder from the Documents folder to another location, then launch Indigo Studio so it starts with a clean Documents folder. Then copying back your projects (or open them from the new location). This resets your user profile, so some options will be reseted to the default values.
4. Opening a page with another Silverlight application, and then running Indigo. You can try opening http://labs.infragistics.com/motion-framework/world-stats/.
5. Reinstalling Indigo Studio.
I would love to provide you with a more friendly set of options, but we really don't know yet why it's failing, and haven't been able to reproduce it locally. I hope one of them helps you work around the issue while we keep working at it.
Thanks, and please let us know how it goes.
Best regards, Santiago. Indigo Studio Team.
Hello Arthur,
Thanks for the email. I am glad everything is working now.

Thank you for the log files.
Since deleting the UserRoot.xml did not have any effect, after reviewing the log files we suggest you try the following
Please check that Indigo Studio was completely uninstalled by checking that the folder `C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Infragistics\Indigo Studio` does not exist. If it exists, please delete it.
Open Indigo and browse and open a file from C:\Users\artur.makolagwa\Documents\Indigo
If you are still having issues after this, please send me the windows event log along with the indigo.log and win.log files. Again you can email these to me at support@infragsitics.com and include ATTN:Valerie in the subject.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Please delete the following file
C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\Indigo Studio\Settings\UserRoot.xml
and try to open Indigo and let me know if you are able to launch Indigo?
If you are not able to open Indigo after deleting the UserRoot file, could you please send me the log files? Log files are under:
Win -> C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\Indigo Studio\Logs
In addition to the log file, could you also please send me the event log and let me know which language you have.
If you are unable to attach the files to this thread, you may email them to support@infragistics.com and include ATTN: Valerie in the subject
Hi! My Indigo Lite also stucks on loading screen and it seems there's no way to fix that. I have Win7 SP1 x64 and at first I tried do reinstall Silverlight - nothing happened. Then I reinstalled Indigo itself - I had an older version (from 11/05/2013) installer and it worked. Then I updated Indigo in two steps - after first update it was working without problems (but I couldn't open files created before), but it stopped working after the second update (to the latest version).
Is there any way to fix it? I really like to continue using Indigo...
Thanks Tom, that seems like a completely different issue then.
Could you please send the log files located in the logs folder to indigo at infragistics.com?
Also, can you make sure the file located at Settings/win.settings on the Indigo Studio documents folder can be written to? (it shouldn't be failing because of that, but it's odd that Indigo is unable to write to the file).
Thanks!
Best regards,
Santiago.
