Hello,
we are using the infragistics grid builder inside a razor view. Every time we use a touch screen monitor while viewing the view, the default scrollbar gets disabled and a touch optimized scrollbar is used.
Is it possible to activate both the mouse and touch event and also show the scrollbar?
Thanks!
Hi Mohammed,
I am not quite sure I got you right - could you please provide a screenshot of the scrollbar that you see on your monitor and I will be able to response.
With a touchscreen monitor there is no scrollbar. And I cant scroll with the mousewheel. I want to be able to do both:
1. Enable mousewheel scrolling while maintaining touch scroll
2. Show a scrollbar
Thanks :)
no the scrollbar is on the right side http://i.imgur.com/aGXL2jK.png
I have not seen this scrollbar elsewhere. So I guess it is part of infragistics. Somewhere on your website it is written that you check with Modernizr.touch if the device is a touch device. So my guess is, this is on purpose by infragistics.
HI Mohamed,
Thanks for clarifying. You can turn off this scrollbar if you set Modernizr.touch property to false before the grid is initialized. Please let me know if you have other questions on the matter.
$(function() { Modernizr.touch = false;

Hello Hristo,
yes this helps to bring back the old behaviour. But I would rather have both behaviours in case someone uses a hybrid device.
Thanks
Hi Mohamed,
Yes I understand your inquiry but as you see you can use one of the scrolling behaviors.
You may log this as a Product Idea at http://ideas.infragistics.com, the Product Ideas site allows you to suggest new product features, new functionalities in existing products and controls, and even request new controls and products altogether. Members of the Infragistics Community then vote for the features and suggestions they want to see added to the products, resulting in the most popular features bubbling up to the top. When planning new releases, our Product Management team will look at the most popular features and use your feedback to prioritize upcoming work.
Steps to create your idea:

Navigate to the product / platform channel of your choice (e.g. WPF, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, HTML5 / Ignite UI, iOS / NucliOS, etc.)3. Add your product idea and be sure to be specific and provide as much detail as possible. Explain the context in which a feature would be used, why it is needed, why it can’t be accomplished today, and who would benefit from it. You can even add screenshots to build a stronger case. Remember that for your suggestion to be successful, you need other members of the community to vote for it. Be convincing!
The benefits of submitting the product idea yourself include:
- Direct communication with our product management team regarding your product idea.- Notifications whenever new information regarding your idea becomes available.
Additional benefits of the product idea system include:- Ability to vote on your favorite product ideas to let us know which ones are the most important to you.
