Hello,
I have been looking into a problem using igVideoPlayer in my MVC project. When I run the project in Safari, it does not display the player and in its place is a message saying my browser is not HTML5 compliant. However, I am running a recent version of Safari (5.1.7).
As a test, I changed the igVideoPlayer sources from my own mp4 and webm files to files on the IG web site (http://dl.infragistics.com/pg/2011-1/web/shared/videoplayer/videos/Infragistics_Presentation_lowRes_1.h264.mp4) to see what would happen. Same result.
Finally, I browsed to the igVideoPlayer demo page using Safari and had the same problem. Attached is a screen shot. I have used two different computers running Safari 5.1.7 with the same result.
Does anyone have an idea what is happening here?
Thanks,
Randy
Hello Randy,

Wow! That fixed it.
I would never have thought that. One would think that Safari would at least tell you that QuickTime needs to be installed.
Thank you!
Thank you for contacting Infragistics!
Safari requires QuickTime in order to play HTML5 video.
