Hi,
When using the maxLength option with a TextEditor the user can still enter more letters if the next letter after the max length is reached is entered using the SHIFT key.
here is a demo (with maxLength: 5):

Enter five letters.
Then enter the next letter using the SHIFT key.
You can enter more letters without holding the SHIFT key.
If the editor looses focus the error message says that te text was truncated, but the text is reverted to the initial text.
