virtualization is working fine without group by. But when I use the column grouping the grid only displays the already loaded local data. I am using OData for my services. Are there any limitations, e.g. the amount of data.

I am looking for this functionality as well. I think what Jurgen was looking for is the Server Side Virtualization and Group By. Something like the example below, but with Group By add on to it.

There is no such limitations related to the virtualizaiton and group by features.
You can see the example here that everything works perfect. Could you please try to compare your set up approach with the referred example.
