hi,
Each time a new version of the Infragistics is released we download, install and then run the version upgrade utility to update our project/solution to have the latest reference....
Is there any new feature / work around introduced for this? I heard something about a new concept introduced in the latest version of infragistics which ensures going forward any new version introduced, people with license can automatically upgrade ?
Any details on this matter ? I looked around forumns and New features tab of 10.3 release apart from details on new controls did not see anything on the above, so just posting a query in the forum to know more details....
For the record we are currently using 10.1
Thanks,
Narasimha
i think i found what i was referring too in my previous post , it is : Version-Free Assembly Names
http://es.infragistics.com/dotnet/netadvantage/winforms/whats-new-2010v2.aspx
now i need to find out more about this and how it works !!!!!!
Sounds interesting but I assume this isn't so you can short-circuit quality control is it? I always fear the upgrade step in ASP.NET land...
Cheers, Rob.
i downloaded the latest version 10.3 (Windows controls) and created a sample app using the latest controls... but the references added are on the similar grounds to any other version.. its not the way it is explained in the example mentioned in the description for Version Free assemblies...
Hello Narasimha,
I found this topic on how to use the version free assemblies. Please give it a try and let me know if you have any other questions.
