Hi,
i started a conversation with a friend on the forums.. how can i follow up on it? where can i find it?
thanks
Hello Hady,
When you started the conversation, did you receive an automated email from "Infragistics Community - Automated Email"? If you did, then it should include a link to the forum post at the top of the message.
Do you remember which forum you wrote in? You can access that specific forum and page through it to search for your post.
You can also use the "Search this site" search bar at the top right of the forums to find your posts. Another way to do this is to click on your name, which should bring up your user profile page. From there, you can click on the number of posts you have, which will automatically search for them.

actually i am not receiving any notification email.. not even when i write a new post and someone replies.
i checked the settings and it should send notification emails.
just a clarification.. i started a conversation with a friend, not a post in the forums
I'm still not clear about what the problem is. If it was not a post in the forums, was it an email thread? Did you lose the friend's contact information? You could check your User Profile page (click on your name) and find your friend in the "My Friends" section. Is there a problem accessing that information on this site?
If I'm still misunderstanding the problem, please provide more information.
I see what you mean now! I started a conversation with you, but I didn't get an email from Infragistics Community, or another way to track it.
I forwarded your post to the web developer in charge of the forum site. He replied that he didn't know of anyone else using this feature. I didn't know about it previously, and I'm guessing that most forum users don't either. Your point is valid though, so hopefully he'll have some time to look into that.
In the meantime, I would recommend either using the forum for posting the discussion, or if it's a private conversation, it might be better to exchange email addresses.
