I have been using your support request system to try and get some information, but the support engineer seems unable to help and has directed me to the sales department.

Earlier in the year we bought a single licence for NetAdvantage for Web Client 2008 Vol 3:

NetAdvantage for Web Client 2008 Vol 3 UPG Subscription (Electronic Download) [SKU: 9483CU]

We used this licence on our build machine, and as a developer I used a demo licence (of the same version) to upgrade our application from a previous version of the Infragistics controls.

We have now purchased 4 new licences for our developers:

NetAdvantage for Web Client 2009 Vol 1 Sub/Priority (Electronic Download) [SKU: 9491CP]

NetAdvantage for Web Client 2009 Vol 1 Sub/Priority (Electronic Download) [SKU: 9491CP]

NetAdvantage for Web Client 2009 Vol 1 Sub/Priority (Electronic Download) [SKU: 9491CP]

NetAdvantage for Web Client 2009 Vol 1 Sub/Priority (Electronic Download) [SKU: 9491CP]

As you can see, we now have two different versions of the controls.

Your support engineer has confirmed that we cannot have developers developing the application with 2009 Vol 1 version, and our build machine then building it with 2008 Vol 3 version.

Does our original (2008 Vol 3) licence allow us to upgrade to 2009 Vol 1 for free, and if so how do we do that?

Obviously, upgrading our application to a new version of your components has cost implications for us, as we have to have the functionality re-tested.  If we want to buy further developer licences in the future, is it possible to buy licences for older versions, so that we do not have to upgrade.  For example, if we buy two new licences next year and the current version at that time is 2010 Vol 1, would we be able to request licences for 2009 vol 1?

Regards
