Hi.
I've recently installed Visual Studio 2022 in my machine where I previously installed Visual Studio 2019 with Infragistics 2021.1.
What should I do to add Infragistics 2021.1 to my new Visual Studio 2022?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting.
I was hoping that V2021.1 controls would automatically show up in the VS2022, did you open tha toolbar and check?
If controls are not showing up then please try this .
-Open the visual studio-> Extension( from the top menu) -> Infragistics-> choose V21.1 installer.
Once installer launch ,select the product and Visual Studio extension and VS2022 extension checkbox and run the installer again.(attached screenshot for the reference ,i dont have VS2022 its just an exam)
This should add control in VS2022 toolbox.
Regards,
It doesn't detect Visual Studio 2022.
Thank you for the update.
I confirm with the team, VS extension for 2022 is not supported (yet) with installer.
If you are looking for adding controls into VS2022 toolbox then they should be populated automatically in .netframwork application(checked winform app).
And controls will NOT auto-populate in .NET Core / .NET 5 / .NET 6. Need to be added the NuGet packages first.
Regards
But how much will be waiting because we cant continue with our projects we need a solution.
All of our controls (latest version) work in Visual Studio. There has never been a version of Visual Studio where things stopped working. Our extension, however, has to be updated when newer versions of Visual Studio become available but is completely an optional tool to use and not required to get the tools working. We hope to have this fixed in the coming months with our next release.
Any news on this topic?
Hi Piter, Is the designer working, when you drag & drop a component on your form?
If I drop a UltraButton, it does not appear on the designer.
My former Infragistics controls that were visible in the form in VS.NET2019 can't be designed anymore (I can't select them if I click on them in the designer).
I have tried to copy Design files such as Infragistics.Win.Design.dll
to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\2022\Professional\Common7\IDE\PublicAssemblies
but this did not help.
Is the designer working on your side?
Gilles
Is Infragistics still supporting new Visual Studio version?
There is no sense for us to pay for maintenance, if we are stuck to former version of VisualStudio.
Anything new on this topic? Time is running, and as far as I can see there still is no extension for vs2022
