Hi,
I am trying to upgrade my solution/project from 13.2 to 15.1 but in the log file, I am getting error "String was not recognized as a valid Boolean".
I used version upgrade utility within VS 2013 and from executable file as well but getting same result.
Please provide me the solution.
Thanks
Zia
I went to Control Panel, but the only option is the "Uninstall"...there is not an option to "Repair"...any other thoughts on how to resolve this..?
Hello,
The most likely reason some of the users using Version Utility 2015.1 to get a "String was not recognized as a valid Boolean" error in the log or Infragistics.VersionUtilitySupport.Core.Utilities.ProductUtilities.GetBackupOptionFromRegistry(), is when the machine on which they are using the product, has multiple users, and the user that is trying to upgrade a project using Version Utility 2015 vol1, is different than the user which installed the product on the machine.
In order to resolve the issue, the user that is experience this behavior would have to repair the Version Utility 2015.1 application. In order to do that go to Control Panel\Programs and Features and right click on “Infragistics Version Utility 2015.1” and choose the “Repair” option.

I'm also having the exact same issue: Update from 13.2 -> 15.1 via the Version Utility.
Through command line I get the following error message:
String was not recognized as a valid Boolean.
