IG Backlog for Week of 10/20/17

Infragistics Team / Friday, October 20, 2017

Another busy week in the tech world. Let’s get caught up!

  1. “KRACK” in your Wi-Fi – The beginning of the week many people worried about an exploit of a flaw in how the WPA2 Wi-Fi encryption system is typically implemented which a Belgian university revealed Monday. Experts tell Fast Company that most people shouldn’t worry, but ZDNet offers up all of the latest patches, so you can be proactive.
  2. Windows 10 Update SDK – Last week Microsoft put out the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update SDK. SD Times reports that “mixed reality experiences” are a major focus with this update.
  3. Amazon HQ2 Amazon started quite a bidding war when they put out an RFP for cities to talk about why they should be the location for the company’s second headquarters. Toronto, Washington DC & Boston released their bid on social media, and other cities like Chicago have spoken extensively with local media. The Seattle Times is watching this closely, as even the suburbs of The Emerald City bid to keep the company’s entire HQ close.
