Hi, I fixed it in the end by doing the following:

removed Infragistics.Web.Mvc from references.

Ugraded Infragistics using the context menu upgrade option when right clicking on the solution.

installed the nugget package IgniteUI.Mvc

I have a few minor issues now, but they are a separate ticket 🙂
