Filter Icon next to header

Hello!

The allowFiltering option adds filter icons (with a “Filter” label right next to it) to each row in a seperate cell below the header. (see Grid Filtering Overview). That’s looks somewhat bulky.

I’d like to see this filter icon (without its “Filter” label) in the header cell right next to the header text, like it is in the Multi Row Layout example (see the fields Company Name, Contact Name and Contact Title).

How can I achieve that without actually using Multi Row Layout? (Using Multi Row Layout with one row is pointless effort, blows the code makes the grid sluggish.)

Hello Andre,

After investigating this further, I determined that excel style filtering could be used. The header of the column has only an icon and the filer label is missing. When the filter icon is clicked a dialog with filter options appear. However if you don’t want an excel style filtering the filter could be changed using a template. More information regarding templating the filter could be found in our documentation.
