Hello Infragistics-Support-Team!
Since I changed to version 2014.1, I have noticed that the input via mouse/keyboard together with clipboard doesn't work so easily as before.
Before (2013.2) you could just select a time/date of the input and copy/paste it immediatly.
Now (2014.1) I have to use the right mouse button, click on "Select All" and only then I can copy the data to the clipboard. After that I have to do the same/similar sequence to put the data back in.
Am I missing something? What do I have to do, to overwrite the input directly via clipboard functions.
Hint: My XamDateTimeInput-Elements are bound to corresponding DateTime-Properties.I'm building/optimizing a Date/Time-Selection-Screen.
Best regardsStefan Schmitt
Hello Stefan,
I followed the steps you suggested and was unable to reproduce the behavior you're describing. I created a sample with a XamDateTimeInput and a Textbox. I was able to successfully copy the dates from the DateTimeInput to the Textbox and from the TextBox to the DateTimeInput simply by selecting the Text and using Cntl C / Cntl V. I did not need to use the SelectAll command from the drop down.
I have attached the sample project I used to test this. Please test this project on your PC; whether or not it works correctly may help indicate the nature of this problem.
If the project does not work correctly, this indicates either a problem possibly specific to your environment, or a difference in the DLL versions we are using. My test was performed using version 14.1.20141.1011 in Infragistics for WPF 14.1.
If the project does show the product feature working correctly, this indicates a possible problem in the code of your application. It will help if you can provide a small, isolated sample application that demonstrates the behavior you are seeing.
Or, if this sample project is not an accurate demonstration of what you're trying to do, please feel free to modify it and send it back, or send a small sample project of your own if you have one.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Valerie

Very interesting Valerie!
I had already updated my version 2014.1 with the first SRs.
So I have the version 14.1.20141.2027!In this version it is not possible to copy the date directly, I had to first select "Select all" from the right click drop down menu.
The only thing I changed on your example was, that I downgraded it from the 4.5.1 to the 4.5 .NET Framework.
Could you, please, double check if this issue happens on your side too with the newer SRs?
Thank you!
Stefan Schmitt
I do see the issue with the service release and I have asked our engineering staff to examine this further. To ensure that it will receive attention, I have logged this behavior in our internal tracking system with a Development ID of 171263. The next step will be for a developer to review my investigation and confirm my findings or to offer a fix, or other resolution.
I have also created a private case for you, CAS-136485-W8Z8D9, to notify you of any changes in the status of this issue.
Hi Valerie,
I have the same issue. Is this issue resolved?
Best regards,
Stefan
This was resolved in the July service releases for 13.1 - 14.1.
