Hello,
I have been trying to solve this mystery problem of not being able to edit the cell. I think I finally narrowed down the reason why I cannot edit the cell and Im hoping to get some advice to see how I can get the cell back into edit mode.
Attached is a picture of what happens when I click the cell that Im trying to change the text in. It appears that all my settings are set to being able to edit the cell but not matter what the property CanEnterEditMode is always false. I cannot seem to get it in edit mode.
I need help because I have been trying to solve this problem for over two months and infragistics closed the issue on me : (
Thank you!
Hello Rich,
I suppose that you are talking about this forum thread http://blogs.infragistics.com/forums/p/59761/305654.aspx from the middle of September, where we include different suggestions. If so, could you please send us small sample that reproduce your issue. I`ll be glad to research this issue for you. For me is difficult to say why it is happen in your scenario. There are different reasons that can cause this behavior. If I remember well you are using Creation Filter in your application – it is one possible reason.
I`ll wait your response and sample. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards
Hello Georgi,
Thank you for coming back to help I appreciate that. Unfortunately I cannot sent over a solution to help debug this at the moment. The best I can do is send the source files because of our projects restrictions. I will see if there is a way I can do this but its possible that might not happen. To answer your question I am indeed using a Creation Filter.
Another thing to note is I built the Grid by hand stitching it all together in the Designer file. This is probably the reason why Im having this issue but I have tried adding many properties into the file and could not get that to work either.
I can upload the source files in hope you might spot something that could be causing this. Ill will put those up shorty. Thank you!
Thanks for attached files. I think that I was able to recreate your scenario using these files. I saw that you set the properties CellActivation = AllowEdit in the designer, but nevertheless of that I couldn`t edit the cells in the THERMALZONES band. Please take a look at your Designer file and try to find :ultraGridBand2.Override.CellClickAction = Infragistics.Win.UltraWinGrid.CellClickAction.RowSelect;and chage it to :ultraGridBand2.Override.CellClickAction = Infragistics.Win.UltraWinGrid.CellClickAction.Edit;Please take a look at the attached sample for more details. Please let me know if you have any questions.Regards
Have you been able to resolve your issue ? Did you have a time to try my suggestion. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I have not heard a response from Team Infragstics from my last responses. Could I please get some feedback and some help or further information on what I can do to move forward. I have been trying to get this problem resolved for a few months and would love to get it taken care of.
Thank you for your time.
Did you have a time to take a look at the attached sample - TestRichSee.zip (not only in the provided code). I reproduce your scenario in this sample using your UltraGrid`s designer file from the previous post. In my sample I`m able to edit the cells. So I suppose that something in your code overide these settings, but couldn`t know what cause this behavior, because I do not have whole solution. Are you able to send us a sample that reproduce this issue ? I`ll be glad to research it. Let me know if you have any questions
