Overlapping labels in Pie chart
posted

Hi,

We have the issue where the pie chart labels are overlapping. Same issue has been posted in https://es.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/69902.aspx. There is a ticket number mentioned CAS-92885-V7M5FC. Which version of infragistics has this issue resolved.

Thanks

    Hi Duncan,

Our developers looked at this issue back in 2012 and had determined that it is not a bug. Since our chart does not support label collision, this behavior is expected. The developer who looked into it had some advice that you might try in your application:

    • Increase the amount of white space in the chart by either scaling the pie chart down or increasing the size of the control.
    • Don't use multiline labels. Multiline labels are more likely to collide when the space is limited.
    • Change the chart rotation. Collisions are more likely to occur when the XRotation approaches 0 and less likely when XRotation approaches 90.

Please try these approaches and let me know whether any of them work for you.

I also recommend submitting this as a new product idea. You can suggest new product ideas for future versions by emailing ideas@infragistics.com.

Submitting your idea will send it directly to our product management team so that it can be imported into our new ideas community once live: http://ideas.infragistics.com.

Remember when submitting your idea to explain the context in which a feature would be used and why it is needed as well as anything that would prevent you from accomplishing this today. You can even add screenshots to build a stronger case.

Thank you in advance to submitting your product idea.
