Hi Team,
Am facing issue with .NET windows forms automation using QTP. Occasionaly either while recording or using object spy , QTP is getting hang/freeze. To recover from this I have to end the task from task manager manually.
Can you please advice me how to overcome the same and what could be the probable reason for the same.

Infragestic Add-In version : 10.3CLR2.0
Operating System : Windows 7 64 Bit

I am facing similar issue as well.
We use unversioned Infragistics DLL's. My observations on windows7 64bit is :
- When trying to reccord on TA sample Wintoolbar application, QTP hangs and only way to come out is to close it via the task manager
- We are not facing any issues when trying to reccord on remaining TA sample applications
Automation tool is QTP 11. Installed win764bit QTP patch_00699 to support win7 64bit testing
Infragistics version : 10.3CLR2.0 unversioned DLL
O/S Win 7 64bit

Thanks for provided information. I don`t have all reqired information, but could you please try to install the new patch, QTPNET_00116 which fixed the problem with Win7 x64 machines. On Win7 x64 machines require QTPNET_00699 to work correctly with the .NET controls so installing the 00116 patch after installing 00699 will allow QTP to work correctly with the Infragistics controls.

Thanks a lot for the informaiton, well am facing problem in downloading QTPNET_00116 from the patches portal. I would like to know is there any other way that i can download from. If you could provide me the alternate source to download, it shall be great.

As far as I know this is the official place from where you could download required patch. If you have any problems with downloading, you should contact with HP.

As susggested by you I have installed both the add-in patches and facing problem in replaying back the script.
Am able to record the operations on the application without any problem but while replaying back the system is hanging and i have to logoff from the system. This issue started to happen only after installing QTPNET_00116.
Can you please let me know what could be the reason and is there any other way to overcome the same.
If I remember well your scenario, first we install QTP_00699, than we install next patch - QTP 00116. If so, let`s try now the next step : The QTP_00699 is for 64 bit support as well as WPF so if you doesn`t used WPF, my suggestion is to remove this patch ( after installing QTP 00116).

I need help in uninstalling QTP_00699 patch as am unable to locate where it is installed because all the patches which are installed doesnt show up uninstallation. If you could provide me the screenshot of the uninstallation then that will be great

I did uninstalled the patch and still notice the same issue, QTP and system hangs. I think there is some compatibilty issue between QTP_00699 and QTPNET_00116
Please open: ControlPanel -> Programs And Features -> Installed Updates (it is in the left top corner) then you will see somewhere in the grid HP QuickTestProfessional. Take a look at the screenshot
