Hi,
The current 'Insert Picture' support available in HTML editor is restricted to just providing an URL of the image to be embedded.
Can we extend this to have user browse a image file on his local computer, and have the user chosen image uploaded to the server and then use the URL of the uploaded image in the editor?
This is similar to the "Insert Media" option that we get in the editor in this forum while posting messages.
This is a common scenario that many of us would be interested in. Does HTML editor or any other control support this kind of feature\extension?
Regards,
Sudesh
Hello Sudesh,
At this moment inserting files from the local file system is not supported.
For uploading files you can use our File Upload widget.

Hi, is the feature mentioned above in as a request? Is it being worked on/going to be released at any point?
Alternatively, is there another way to simulate the functionality? We would like our users to be able to add images from their computer and for us to handle getting the correct url in the background.
Thanks,
Joey
Hello Joey,
I have created a customer case for you. This is going to be a new feature so I have asked for the guys from Developer Support to create a feature request for this. Hopefully we can provide this functionality soon as we get a lot of feature requests and we need to prioritize them.
Thank you for using the Infragistics forums!
