When attempting to loading an Excel workbook the code appears to hang when using IE 11. In the attach file, click the SELECT EXCEL FILE button and select the Excel file in the attachment. Then click LOAD EXCEL FILE. Upon executing the excelfile.load control never returns to either the defined success or failure function. It's as though the excel "load" code goes into an infinite loop.
Works fine with Chrome.

Thank you for providing sample application and the Excel sheet to upload. I am able to reproduce the same behavior in the IE.
When I am uploading ‘ImportDataSample.xlsx’ it hangs when using IE 11.but when I open the excel sheet and remove the comment and note of the sheet and tried to upload the same excel sheet I am able to upload it. So it looks like IE11 is not supporting comment of the excel sheet.
I am currently discussing the same behavior with the developer who is responsible for the GridExcelExporter control and will update you further when I have further information from the developer concerning this matter
